In the article ‘Selective Exposure During Uprisings: Examining the Public’s News Consumption and Sharing Tendencies During the 2019 Lebanon Protests’ Claudia Kozman and Jad Melki explore the role of selective exposure and trust during the October 2019 Lebanon uprising. Claudia Kozman is assistant professor of multimedia journalism in the Department of Communication Arts at Lebanese American University. Her research interests include, news values, sourcing, and framing in Arab media, in addition to journalistic patterns of newsgathering and the role of journalists as newsmakers.
